The United States Environmental Protection Agency today declared carbon dioxide a dangerous pollutant.   Effectively, this Federal government agency has declared a natural recurring gas which is omitted by every living human being a danger to public health.   A more insane declaration by a government entity is impossible to imagine. 

This is a second Pearl Harbor, an act of war by the Federal government against the American people.   The government has declared that exhaling is tantamount to polluting, which makes you and I dangerous polluters!   This asinine finding opens the door to the regulation of virtually every aspect of economic life in the country.   For that matter, it opens the board to taxing every human being for the act of living, as all of us can be declared in violation of the Clean Air Act and subject to fine or tax for our carbon dioxide footprint.

This is an upraised middle finger from the Obama EPA to the American people and the Congress for their unwillingness to pass the disastrous cap and trade legislation languishing in the Senate.   Obama is seizing the power via regulation to control vast areas of life heretofore off limits to the reach of the Federal government without regard to checks and balances of the democratic process.  

As the EPA implements today's decision the damage to the nation's economy and liberty will be calamitous.   I really think that serious civil unrest is in our near future.    We may be in the process of becoming a nation of sheep, but there are still some rams left in the country who will not sit still while this colossal idiot we have as president destroys the country.

Late Saturday night past the House of Representatives voted by narrow majority to bring back slavery in the United States.   The Marxist health care legislation adopted by these so-called representatives of the people is a grievous betrayal of their oath of office, an act of war against the Constitution order and against the American people, who have made it crystal clear that they do not want this "reform."   The passage of this bill becomes the high-water mark (so far) of "hope and change," the fundamental transformation of America, brought to us by the first American president who assumed office hating and despising the history and society which honored him with the highest office it can bestow.  How Barack and Michelle must have laughed at the voters who naively bought their smooth slogans and soothing promises .   Working with a Congressional leadership which would be perfectly at home in the Politburo of the old Soviet Union, the first Marxist president seeks to destroy our economy so as to make the American people desperate and afraid enough to accept the central government seizing control over their lives to a degree unimaginable to our forefathers, who must be rolling over in their graves.   Should health care "reform" be enacted, individual freedom in America ceases to be a right and becomes dependable on the goodwill of the state, as determined by the daily mood of the local government bureaucrat.   Think the local revenue office is a model of civility?  The post office the model of efficiency?   Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of stew -  if the majority of the House which passed this bill is supposed to represent a majority of Americans, then a majority of this country is prepared to sell its liberty for the promise of "free" health care.  In both cases, the short sightedness of the act is breathtaking in scope and tragic in consequence.   Have we really become such a nation of sheep, that we willingly surrender our liberty for the promise of goodies dispensed by a beneficent federal government?  Is it so hard to understand that there is no such thing as a beneficent central government?    History has revealed that while liberty is a gift from God,  men can lose that liberty though indolence and ignorance and that any trade of liberty for the promise of economic security (in whatever guise) ends with the loss of both.   It is staggering that even one United States Representative voted for this abomination of a bill.    It is a vote to make Americans slaves and serfs in their own land, indentured servants on the government plantation.  We will become not a people with a government, but a government with a people.   In essence the American Revolution will be undone, with the all powerful central state stepping in for King George III.    

In ages past classical liberalism strove to expand human freedom by limiting the power of the state.  Today contemporary liberalism seeks to destroy freedom by expanding the power of the state.  There is wickedness at work in the heart of today's leftist, the craving for power to shape all things to his will.  It is an age old wickedness, which came into being before the forming of the Earth, and had its first human incarnation in the Garden of Eden.  It is a wickedness which in men instills the belief that he can make all things perfect and new.   The founders of the nation were well aware of the true natures of the heart of men and that man was incapable of perfection.  They knew that power corrupts men and unchecked power corrupts absolutely.   That's why they created a limited central government, with specifically limited powers, to ensure that even if wicked men, though having obtained temporary power with promises to use power for good and attractive things, could not wreck and ruin the country.   Over the generations arrogant men who always believe they know better how to order the universe have worked to remove brick by brick the constitutional limits on the central government.   Socialized health care represents the ultimate expression of the hubris of men thinking they can perfect the world.   It represents not simply wrecking the finest health care system in the world but transferring to the state the power of  life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.   It is a usurpation of  the people's power unprecedented in this country, a true coup d' e-tat which vitiates the original compact which formed the union.    If this legislation becomes law, the government of the United States may have the form of a democratic republic but it will not be so in substance.  Instead, we will become the 21st century version of the Soviet Union, corruptly administered by a capricious bureaucracy drunk with the power of life and death over a population sullen with poverty and impotence, whose votes change nothing and mean nothing.   Every possession and every life will exist to be regulated and administered to better serve the "common good," i.e., the state.  We will be monitored by the forces of political correctness so that every thought and expression conforms and is acceptable to the new order of things.  Welcome to the land of Big Brother.   Oceania has become Obamia.  

A Moslem major of the United States Army murdered 13 Americans, mostly soldiers, at Fort Hood, Texas.     Witnesses state he prefaced his rampage with the Arabic expression of "God is great," referring to Allah.   So we again have a demonstration of the true nature of the "religion of peace," whose adherents define faithfulness as engaging in the murder of the unsuspecting and the innocent.  How much more evidence is needed for even the most thick-headed of apologists for Islam to recognize that it is a Satanic cult, a false faith which glories mayhem and death?    How many more Americans have to die before we will understand that there is no negotiation, no common ground, no compromise with these people, and that the only choice we have is between eliminating them first or suicide?    The problem is not simply a rogue branch of Islam but Islam itself, for it commands a duty the subjugation and persecution of nonbelievers, which now embraces murder as  a religious duty.   These people are the enemy, and if Americans don't wake up and apprise with cold eye and steeled resolve this fact we are condemning our fellow countrymen to death and our children to slavery. 

It is also time to understand that the enemy is here, on our shores, and has infiltrated our institutions.   It makes excuses for murder, tells lies about its true tenets, and slanders those who expose it.    The enemy exploits a confused culture which has lost the courage to make value judgments and defend its own heritage.  It claims the protections of our laws and government, while working day and night to destroy both and impose a tyranny of evil on our people.  The enemy counts on the moral bankruptcy of the leftists who control our media and culture, who hate Christians even more than they fear Muslims.   Even as I type these words, the contemptible media is busy excusing this latest atrocity, casting blame everywhere it can to deflect attention from the obvious cause.  The leftists in and out of our government have de facto allied themselves with the jihadists, for both desire the same thing:  the destruction of the United States as it currently exists.   Whether he comes openly with his guns blazing, or well dressed and smiling, promising free health care and utopia on earth, the enemy brings robbery, death, and misery.   The enemy is evil and his god is Satanic.
Thus the enemy

The Bible states that a man may be known by his fruits.   While Barack Obama campaigned as a racial healing moderate with mild liberal tendencies, the fruits of his first 10 months in office reveal something quite different about the man.

First, consider with whom the president has surrounded himself as advisers.   As policy coordinators, nicknamed "czars," the president has appointed the most radical collection of left wingers imaginable.  Exhibit A, Van Jones, proved such an embarrassment and distraction that he was forced out, but others continue in office under the radar of the public, all of the while making decisions and regulations which in ways big and small diminish freedom and enlarge the power of the central government.   The ability of the faceless bureaucrat to cause damage is comparable to that of the tiny termite tolling away to destroy the walls of your home.  The end result is wreck and ruin.

Second, consider the president's legislative proposals.   Socialized health candidate will expand the reach of the central government into every nook and cranny of the individual's life.   It's hard to think of any choice a person makes which cannot be tied to one's health, and under the guise of administrating health care the government will be able to seize the power to micromanage the smallest detail of the individual's life.  

So called "Cap and Trade" legislation, already passed by the House, serves to insert the central government into the management of business and industry.   If the gases emitted from cows and the exhales of human beings is considered a pollutant, what imaginable activity of life cannot fall within the purview of environmental regulation, to be limited, taxed, and penalized?   The very act of living itself becomes in law a crime against nature, requiring the government control.  

The administration moved quickly after assuming office to gain control of the financial industry through fear of economic collapse.  Through  its partner in the United Auto Workers, the federal government controls two of three domestic auto companies.   Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, both bankrupt, hold well over half of home mortgages, and are wards of the Treasury Department.   Recently, Congress elected to pitch private financial institutions out of the student loan business.   Now,  the citizen must go hat-in-hand to the Federal government for a student loan.    In a few short months, the federal government under Obama has secured the ability to control the most important private levers of financial power in the country.

Third,  Mr. Obama's expressed views on social issues marks him as the most radical leftist ever to become president.  Obama support abortion without limits, including the ability to murder a child born alive during the abortion procedure.   Obama has stated that he does not support "gay marriage," yet his every public utterance regarding homosexuals contains a condemnation of laws protecting traditional marriage or excluding from the armed forces open homosexuals.    Obama has stated his desire that the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act passed by Congress be repealed.  In light of his statements does anyone believe his protestations that he does not support "gay" marriage?

Fourth, consider how Mr. Obama has conducted foreign policy.    Gone is criticism of totalitarian regimes who hold power by violence and oppression.  Gone is support for the peoples who struggle for liberty in the nations held hostage by tyrants.   Gone is the support for dissidents in Red China, Iran, Venezuela, and Sudan.   The new policy is appeasement, talking softly and dropping any stick.   Traditional allies in Great Britain and Israel are insulted.  New allies such as Poland and the Czech Republic are sold out.   Every Obama trip abroad is an apology tour for supposed past misdeeds of the United States.

Fifth, consider Mr. Obama's defense policy.   The development of new or existing weapon systems is cut or eliminated entirely.  Overall funding for national defense is reduced while the federal government borrows and spends more money on other programs in its history.  The request for troops from the commanding general in Afghanistan is studied, and studied, and studied.  Meanwhile, troops die in Afghanistan that might be alive if the extra troops were in place.

Sixth, consider Mr. Obama's attitude toward constitutional government.  From the administration's war with Fox News, to its concentrating power in czars not subject to Senate approval, to the appointment of an unqualified and constitutional illiterate (but good liberal jurist) to the Supreme Court, to the proposal of legislation which if enacted would usher in vast intrusions on state authority and individual autonomy, Obama demonstrates a contempt for the limitations the constitution places on the federal government.

You shall know him by his fruits and it is clear that Barack Obama is the first Marxist president of the United States.

Yesterday Fox News in the morning featured a "debate" between Christopher Hitchens, outspoken atheist, and a minister whose name I cannot recall.   I put debate in quotes because while Hitchens was his usual self, blaming belief in God for all the ills of mankind, the minister did not seem to put up much of a rebuttal, at least in my opinion.   As I thought more about the segment through the day I couldn't help thinking that atheism seems uniquely a position of the intellectual class.   How many poor folks or high school dropouts do you see declaiming  that God doesn't exist and faith is a delusion?

Atheism is mankinds' ultimate conceit and requires a peculiar type of hubris.  Implicit in atheism is a belief in  human omniscience, for one can deny the existence of God only if one believes he possesses total knowledge.   Far from being evidence of a rational, realistic mind, atheism constitutes the ultimate closing of the mind.   For the atheist the case is closed and no evidence is valid to the contrary.  In this respect the atheist bears a great resemblance to believers in climate change, a.k.a. global warming.   Though he believes himself to be the smartest people in the room, in fact the atheist is the apotheosis of ignorance, the summit of man's rebellion against God.

Man cannot reason away or wish away God, or take His place in the universe.   The only delusion regarding the existence of God is in the mind of the atheist. 

I do not believe it an exaggeration to state that America is heading for an internal explosion.  The absolute fury growing in a large and increasing portion of this country toward the Obama administration and the socialist Democrat Congress is real and must find release. Frankly, I'm beginning to think Obama and his gutter thugs want an incident of some kind, a "Reichstag Fire," to serve as a basis for imposing authoritarian measures.   If they think the American people will sit still for this they are badly mistaken.  America is not Germany in 1933.   Too many Americans are armed and the country is too big and spread out for effective dictatorship.   I fear that liberals are so diluted in their arrogance that they believe they ram their liberty-wrecking agenda down the throats of the American people.  Perhaps they should consider that if only one-tenth of one percent of the American people revolt, that's over 300,000 people.  I've heard that only three percent of the colonists gave active support to the American Revolution; if a similar percentage revolted today, that would be 10 million people.  Heaven help us if the Democrats corrupt the 2010 elections to maintain power; mass civil unrest would be certain.


After almost 10 months in office, what can we observe about the administration?  Simply, that Barack Obama and his collection of Marxists, thugs and fascists are engaged in a continuing conspiracy of treason against the United States of America.  In domestic and foreign policy, Obama acts to diminish liberty, damage the image of the country, weaken our allies, gut our defenses, appease and encourage our enemies, and reduce American influence.  And he has 38 more months in office!!

To cite a few examples:  President Barack Obama cancels the missile defense shield to be based in Poland and Czech Republic.  The President caved to Russian pressure to cancel the program in the hope the Russians will assist the U.S. in retarding Iran's nuclear weapons program.  Neither Poland or the Czech Republic were consulted beforehand.   All of Eastern Europe, which suffered for a generation under Communist tyranny backed by the Soviet Union, sees the cancellation of the missile shield as an abandonment of their interests to the tender mercies of Moscow.  American influence in the region is gravely damaged.

President Obama dithering on request for additional troops in Afghanistan.   The President is sitting on the recommendation of General McCrystal, who commands U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, for reinforcements to defeat the insurgency.   The General warns that failure to reinforce the mission risks defeat.   Only a few months ago Obama called Afghanistan a "necessary" war and pledged to do what was needed to win it.   The Obama administration is using every imaginable excuse to delay making a decision on General McCrytal's request.  Meanwhile, under-resourced American troops  fight on. Obama's vacillation and dithering have not escaped notice by our allies and enemies, the former are discouraged, the latter exultant.

Obama continues campaign of moral equivalency between Israel and the Palestinians.   Obama's bias in favor of the Palestians in their negotiations with the Israelis has become so obvious as to actually obstruct progress in negotiations.  Israelis across the political spectrum recognize the hostility of the American president and the result has strengthen the Israeli government in resisting pressure from the United States.   

Obama administration declares war on First Amendment.    No president enjoys criticism but not even Richard Nixon declared open war on a television network.   Having experienced nothing but fawning and sycophantic coverage from 95% of the media during 2008 campaign and after being sworn in the Obama administration assumes it has the right to demand that the entire media bend the knee to proclaim the greatness of the "One."  Since Fox News is the ONLY major television news operation which provides balanced coverage, it naturally becomes an enemy of the Obama state.   The contempt for First Amendment demonstrated by the Obama administration is staggering.   Other news outlets should consider the implications:  if Fox News can be ostracized then any news organization which displeases the Administration can be also.   First they came for Fox News . . . . 

 Really my friends, we should be frank:  this is an evil administration, dedicated to the destruction of  American liberty, sovereignty, and society.   It is a collection of gutter snips: Marxists, fascists, earth worshipers, radical animal rights activists, racial provocateurs, tax cheats, sexual perverts, bigots of all stripes, and last by certainly not least, an ultra-leftist community organizer.   Behind the smiling mask of Obama is the face of  wickedness and meanness, the desire to rule without obstruction or dissent, the contempt for history and faith, a hatred for the country they inherited to govern with a determination to wreck what came before so as to rebuild the socialists utopia.  This time they will do it right, unlike the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea, and the list of failure and human misery all such efforts have caused.   These are dangerous people who must be defeated; the very future of republican government in this country is at stake.

In a nation which chooses its leaders by democratic election, the electorate is responsible for the quality of those elected.   If the American people were ignorant of the radicalism of Barack Obama when he was elected president, it was not for lack of information.  Anyone interested could readily have ascertained that Mr. Obama was grew up marinated in leftist ideology and all his adult life has embraced radical left believes and its adherents.   

By now the fact that Obama is a hard left socialist who is also comfortable around communists is plain to any who wish to see.  The case of Van Jones, now the former Environmental czar, is but the most visible example; however, Obama has surrounded himself with advisers and czars who are equally as radical as Mr. Jones, only who have been and are more discrete.    The default world view of Obama is as one with Van Jones; he views us who appreciate American traditions and values as being out-of-step.  

So, only eight months into his term,  every day in ways big and small, more and more Americans are waking up to the fact that a hard left socialist who is more comfortable in the company of communists than capitalists is the president of the United States.  The chief executive of the nation is a man whose every influence and instinct contravenes the values underlying our Declaration of Independence and Constitution.    Obama may be a natural born citizen, but he is all other respects he is a total alien.   The simple truth is that for the next forty months the president of the United States will be making war against the people of the country he was elected to lead.

During Mr. Obama's oration to the Congress last evening a Republican congressman, Joe Wilson, could not restrain himself from exclaiming aloud that Obama was lying.    Mr. Wilson qualifies for the most honest utterance made by a member of Congress this term.  Obama lies as most people inhale and exhale.    I've always thought Bill Clinton is the most shameless liar who ever held public office, but Barack Obama exceeds even Clinton in relentless dishonesty.

While the government of the United States strains to wreck the Constitution and society of the country, it also is destroying American credibility overseas and betraying long time allies and declared principles.   In Honduras, a perfectly legal removal of a president who was attempting to subvert that nation's constitution has been branded a "coup" by the State Department and Honduras sanctioned by the United States.   Regarding Israel, the Obama administration has made it crystal clear that it believes the Jewish state is the root of all conflict in the Middle East and is itching to undo our long support for the only true friend we have in the region.    We have turned our back on Iranians seeking to resist the tyrannical regime which has so brutally suppressed dissent, while feverishly working to develop nuclear weapons.    Every time Obama goes overseas he apologizes for supposed past "sins" of the United States.   He seems to embrace every thug dictator and regime while dismissing or insulting democratic nations.   Do we detect a pattern here?

Thomas Friedman is a renowned columnist with the New York Times.   I write renowned because Mr. Friedman is the epitome of an establishment columnist, whose writings are supposed to express insight and depth.  In his column of September 9th, Mr. Friedman opined that autocratic one-party rule as practiced in China was superior to the governance of the United States, since decisions on matters  such as the environment, energy or health care were made without interference from the hoi polloi.     What Mr. Friedman's column reveals is that he is an arrogant snot, a fascist, and a screaming idiot.    Hereafter no one with a functioning brain cell should pay attention to Mr. Friedman.

I have written before that I am convinced that regardless of public opposition the radical socialist Democrats in Congress will force through a nationalized health care system.    Most of the leftists hold safe seats in urbanized areas where extension government regulation of individuals and  business is already a fact of life and can't understand what the fuss is about.  They view the opponents as either Nazis or hayseeds.    So called moderate Democrats (really liberals with less safe districts) will fall into line by the legislation being tweeked enough to appear to have been moderated, but that will be a face saving facade.     What comes afterward depends on whether the American people remain engaged or resign themselves to becoming serfs and slaves to the their own government.   Personally, I think the odds are better than even that we will have serious civil unrest in this country, perhaps the worst since the Civil War, before this president leaves office.    If Obama orders American troops to fire on American citizens, I can see the country falling to pieces with breathtaking speed.   What a colossal mistake was made when Obama was elected.

Barack Obama and the socialist Democrat Congress are attempting to impose socialism on the American people by the means and methods of a tyrannical state.   Intimidation, smears, lies, derision, all are being practiced by this alien and un-American administration and its followers in Congress, a gang of thugs who deserve no respect or obedience.   These people are from the gutter, and no amount of Ivy League educations or expensive tailoring can disguise the profound odor these people emit.    There is no negotiating, no reasoning, no compromise with this bunch, and conservatives and particularly conservative elites need to shed themselves of the idea that logic and debate are the way to deal with Obama and the socialists.   These people must be resisted by all means before they reduce America to the political and economic status of a banana republic.   The time is rapidly coming when mass civil disobedience will be necessary to stop the laying waste to America.   Hard decisions will have to made.  The question is, do Americans still have the stuff of the Founding Fathers?  Are our we the sheep that Obama and his gang of thugs and deviants believe us to be?

Basically, it comes to this:  You are either for America or for Obama and the socialists; the two sides don't have compatible goals.

How ironic that the Baby Boom generation will be the first to experience socialist health care.  This most destructive of generations, prideful of its "sophistication" and "enlightenment" reached its zenith by imposing of the American people the most leftist government in our history.  What justice it is that through the enactment of nationalized health care these leftists will, through the rationing of care, engineer the rapid liquidation of the aging Boomer population.   Oh well, I suppose one must look for the silver lining; the Obama health care plan represents a "final solution" for the Social Security funding crisis!

Words have long been striped of meaning in the brave new world of the Obama administration.   "Reform" in the health care context means the curtailment of care for 90% of the people to ensure that the other 10% - many of whom don't want coverage - will be.    Since to expand  coverage and curtailing costs is impossible unless services are reduced, the leftists' nationalized health care system must ration care.  This perforce requires engaging in a cost/benefit analysis, i.e., assigning a monetary value to your life based on age, illness, etc.   At some point, either by aging, physical deterioration, lifestyle, or combination of these and factors,  the cost of keeping you alive exceeds your worth.  Hence, your life will no longer be worth living according to the State.   At that point you will transit from treatment to hospice and reconciling you to dying, even though you might still live many years with treatment.    Quite simply, nationalized health care as envisioned by the leftists requires accelerating the deaths of the old, the infirm, and like.

Once this road is taken everyone knows the destination.    Denying treatment to the old folks is just the opening bid.  The pressure of cost control combined with the faux moral basis of "life not worth living" will move on to the mentally or physically handicapped, the terminally ill,  those diagnosed with conditions that the odds are against recovery.     Once the individual's lifespan becomes a matter of accounting to the government there arises the argument that he has a duty to move on (die) and allow resources to be allotted to more productive purposes.   Moreover, since it is inevitable that health rationing decision-making will be informed by the values of the prevailing political ideology, it is also inevitable that political considerations will creep into life and death decisions.   Let's flip the coin and entertain the most paranoid delusions of the leftists.   Say a conservative administration gains control the government and health care decision-making.  Why,f or example, should precious health care dollars be spend on drug addicts who contracted a terminal disease from drug use?  Why should you or I pay for health care for the AIDS patient who got the disease from deviate sexual practices?   Why pay for the felon's health care?   Once the door is open to the government rationing health care it follows that government will base rationing on behavior as well.   They won't stop with smoking.   

Suppose a loved one, say age 60, is diagnosed with a form of cancer that makes the odds of recovery long.  With expensive treatment, the loved one has a chance, albeit a long one, of recovery and living out their natural lifespan.   Will Obamacare pay for this treatment? Don't bet on it.   Say the loved one is 70.  Will Obamacare pay?  Not a chance.    Moreover, unlike other countries, Obamacare is designed to force private insurance and options out-of-business, so that your loved one is trapped in a system where the decision whether he lives or dies is made by a government employee working out a grid.    What a marvelous future, life or death decided by how one falls in a grid.

All of this is profoundly evil.   It cheapens life and coarsens the conscience of the people.    Soon it becomes all too easy to justify putting down whole groups of people as having "lives not worth living."     Think it can't happen here?  Germany before Hitler was one of the world's most cultured and advanced societies, the birthplace of Protestantism.    We all know what happened there.

The great majority of the American people intuitively understand that nationalized health care is wrong.   They are communicating this to Congress in progressively louder fashion.   Will it make a difference?   Perhaps with a few but I'm convinced that the great majority of Congressional Democrats are so ideologically wedded to the concept that they will knowing defy the wishes of their constituents and force on the American people a scheme the people are dead set against.    The leftists believe the great mass of voters will forget their anger by the time the 2010 elections roll around or are so ideologically blind that they are willing to risk defeat to attain the goal.    Maybe with ACORN counting the votes and the Black Panthers monitoring the polling places they don't worry about elections.

I'm also convinced that this Congress will force "Cap and Trade" energy legislation and legalize millions of illegal immigrants.  The leftists in charge of Congress understand that this is their shot, a  once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enact the socialist dream list of legislation and they will not forgo the chance.

So, are we to assume that the 2010 elections will result in these leftists being swept from power?    I'm not optimistic.   One, we don't have a united opposition.   The Republican party still contains far too many fellow-travelers who see their life's calling as working with leftists to pass legislation.    Until these thieves are banished from the temple a united front is impossible.   Second, wherever Democrats control the election machinery the near certainty of fraud obtains.   I don't doubt for a moment the determination of the leftists to corrupt the election process to maintain power.  Third, Congressional districts have become so gerrymandered to protect incumbents that many leftists are in districts from which they cannot be ousted. 

What I am certain of is this:  by 2010 the level of rage and fury at the leftist government will be at such a level that if it does not find release in the retaking of Congress there will be massive civil disobedience in this country, leading to who knows what.    Folks, I do not exaggerate: our entire form of government is at risk with Obama and the leftists in power.

Also endangering our liberty is an elected elite who hold the population they are supposed to represent in contempt.   Even worse, the populace knows the elites hold them in contempt and are returning the contempt in spades.   This is not a dynamic which can long continue; at some point the lid is going to come off.    We may be looking at a 21st century version of the French Revolution coming to pass in this country.

And to think, we've only talked about domestic policy.    While we are laying the groudwork for a civil war here, our enemies abroad are busy developing nuclear weapons and threatening our allies (Israel is an ally of the American people, not the Obama administration).  What is Mr. Obama doing?   NOTHING.    We are racing to a cliff to leap to national destruction with this administration.

I have no idea if Barack Obama was born in the USA or not.  What I do know is that by attitude, temperament and values he is no more an American than Joseph Stalin.   His ideology is as alien to the traditions and values of this country as east is from west.   Obama despises this country and more Americans are coming to see this everyday. 

1.     A memorial service was held for Michael Jackson yesterday.    For those who haven't heard, Mr. Jackson died suddenly on June 25, 2009.    During the service  noted humanitarian Reverend Al Sharpton remarked that " Michael made us love each other.  Michael taught us to stand with each other."    Motown founder Berry Gordy called Jackson "the greatest entertainer who ever lived."

While most famous as a recording artist, Mr. Jackson also developed a cure for cancer, created a new strain of wheat which helped alleviate global hunger, negotiated an agreement with the world's nuclear powers and Iran to abolish nuclear weapons, solved the 3000 year conflict in the Middle East, and narrowed the racial divide in America.   He also was known to be fond of young children, particularly boys, spending many evenings tutoring them.    

Well, he must have done all this.   How else to explain the nonsense uttered by Sharpton and Gordy and the excessive outpouring of emotion and media coverage?    This is America's Princess Di moment, proof positive that our society has lost any sense proportion and ability to separate the substantive from the frivolous.   It is no wonder that Obama and the leftist Congress feel free to press on with all sort of outlandish and damaging legislation wrecking the American way of life.  They calculate that the American public is appeased by the  bread and circuses vomited up in the mass media; brain dead and more concerned with Jon and Kate or Brad and Angelina or Jennifer and whoever.   What a historic tragedy that at such a dangerous moment in history the dominant majority of the American people is constituted of arrested adolescents, ignorant of history, contemptuous of tradition, oblivious to everything but meeting their own appetites for comfort and entertainment.

2.     Sarah Palin has resigned as governor of Alaska.   The Washington establishment and Republican insiders and commentators are virtually unanimous in condemning the move.   All this indicates to me is how brilliant a move it is.    The political class and elite don't understand Mrs. Palin or her appeal to the Republican base and conservatives.   The Republican establishment and Democrats both hate and fear her.   They do so because they are phonies and protective of their privileged status.    Mrs. Palin is authentic and her authenticity  is why she is so popular with the average person.  People are sick of the political class.   People are sick of an arrogant elite who believe themselves superior in intelligence and breeding and worthy of running the country.   In fact, it is the politicial class and elite that are wrecking the country.   Sarah Palin is not a member of this crowd and represents a threat to their rule.    The campaign to destroy her will continue. 

3.        Barack Obama continues to side with the deposed president of Honduras and against the people and instituitons of that country who deposed Mr. Zelaya to uphold the rule of law.   I suppose this is predictable.   Mr. Obama's native mindset is totalitarian and impatient with opposition and dissent.   It's understandable that he sides with another would-be dictator.
 
4.        People who are paying attention and capable of being concerned understand that the United States will experience economic collapse in the near future unless current policies are reversed.    The avalanche of debt and the debasement of the currency will result in the collapse; the U.S. is not immune from the laws of economics.     I'm convinced that Obama and the leftist Democrats who run Congress actually desire this result.   Economic chaos and the distress it brings will cause people to demand more government intervention to ameliorate the situation.   It plays into the desire of the Obamaists to convert the United States into a banana republic, with themselves perpetuated in power by their ability to ration the necessitities of life to a cowed and impoverished population.   The president and the Democrat majority in Congress are not patriots under any definition of the term.   Rather, they are radical ideologures committed to the transformation of America into the latest manifestation of the socialist utopia.   There is a description for who these people are:  traitors.

5.        We should face the hard truth:  The American system of government is broken.   No branch of government is responsive to the best interests of the people; no branch is loyal to the Constitution.   The electoral process is rigged to perpetuate incumbents in power; when someone new does managed to get elected they immediately sell out and join the insiders club that is Washington. D.C..   The appropriations process is used to reward, buy off or pit constituent groups against each other.    Seriously, folks, if Obama tried to pull what Zelaya tried in Honduras, are you sure that he wouldn't get away with it here? 

We were told that elections have consequences.  Millions of unfortunates in Iran, North Korea, and elsewhere are learning that the consequences of American elections may have negative impact on their lives.

1.     Mahmound Ahmadinejad was proclaimed re-elected as president of Iran.   What we know indicates a strong likelihood that his re-election was procured by fraud.   Certainly tens of thousand Iranians thought so, as they were willing to risk life and limb to protest the declared result in the streets of Tehran.   The ruling mullahs, being the reasonable men that Obama believes he must negotiate with, responded by killing and maiming the protesters.    For now it appears the repression has succeeded.    During the entire sorry episode Obama has been remarkably reticent in his criticism of the mullahs and Ahmandinejad.   We learned last Sunday from administration spokesmen that Obama still seeks to negotiate with the regime.    This is more than shameful; it is craven cowardice and ideological blindness.   Everyone with a speck of intelligence know that there is no negotiating with the made mullahs that run Iran.   They and Ahmandinejad have made it as plain as they can that they want the United States ruined and us converted to their religion or dead.  The only negotiations they have interest in would concern our surrender.

2.     North Korea threatens to launch a ballistic missile in the direction of Hawaii.    Its leaders have declared the 1953 armistice which ended the Korean War to be no longer in effect.   North Korea is supplying our declared enemies with technology to assist them with developing nuclear weapons and perhaps with the components to facilitate to do so.   The Obama administration has responded by . . .   doing nothing.   

3.     The president of Honduras in Central America sought to emulate Hugo Chavez and act outside his nation's constitution to perpetuate himself in power.   Turned down by his nation's Supreme Court, opposed by the legislature controlled by his party and a military unwilling to trash the constitution, the president decided to defy the law and conduct an illegal and constitutional referendum to authorize him to continue in office.   The Honduran military then arrested the president and put him on a plane out of the country.   The legislature meet and named a replacement to hold office until elections this November.    One would think that the Obama administration would applaud this result, since it (a) upholds the rule of law in Honduras, and (2) avoids another tin pot dictator in Latin America.   One would also think that as Obama had argued that the United States should not interfere in the interior affairs of another nation to justify his restrain concerning Iran he would be as reserved concerning Honduras.  But know, Obama branded the president's ouster as "illegal" and demanded that he be returned to power.    As a consequence Obama aligned the United States with Chavez, Castro and the other dictators in Latin America in condemning the Honduras military UPHOLDING ITS COUNTRY'S CONSTITUTION!  

4.     In its words and deeds, the Obama administration demonstrates a contempt for the rule of law, no preference or affinity for democratic governments,  no concern beyond empty cliches for the atrocities committed by governments of other nations against their citizens, no friendship for freedom hungry populations, and no shame.

5.     Micheal Jackson died at age 50.    In the days following his death I hear many things said of Mr. Jackson, including one commentator would declared him the greatest musical talent since Mosart.    Perhaps that comment was a bit too much.   It seems obvious that Mr. Jackson was for a many years a trouble soul; all the evidence you'd need to reach this conclusion came from his ever changing face via surgery and his increasing bizarre behavior.   Hopefully, in death, he has found peace.

6.     The House of Representatives pass legislation called "cap and trade" for the stated purpose of combating global warming or climate change.   It will not do so.   Instead, if this legislation becomes law, the costs of food, utilities, gasoline, medicine, and other staples of life for the average American will greatly increase.   For residents in the less urbanized parts of the country the increased costs will be particularly dramatic, since energy and food costs tend to be less than in urban areas.   Perhaps this explains the vote in the House, which was extraordinarily along regional lines:  congressmen from the Northeast and California voted overwhelming in favor, while those from the rest of the country was strongly against.   In effect, the bill was a declaration of war by urban America against the rest of the country.   Since urban America is the stronghold of leftists who lead the Democrat controlled Congress and invest the Obama administration, "climate change" is a convenient excuse for extracting wealth from Republican and conservative parts of the country.     More and more it seems to me that the domestic agenda of the Obama administration and the Democrat Congress is to impoverish the great majority of Americans by massive regulation and tax increases, leading us beholden to and at the mercy of a leviathan Federal government.

7.      The Civil Rights Act of 1964, prohibits discrimination based on, among other things, race.   In the the case of white firefighters from New Haven, Connecticut, challenging the city's decision to jettison promotional tests which they aced in favor of promoting other, non-white persons, the Supreme Court interpreted the Act to ------- prohibit discrimination based on race.   It is a rare event for the Supreme Court to actually follow the law, particularly when doing so favors white males.    The decision has come in for a lot of comment, since it reversed a decision of a panel of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals which contained Sonya Sotomeyer, President Obama's nominee for the Court.   There's little doubt that Judge Sotomeyer would have joined the dissenters.   Fortunately, since she will be replacing one of them, her view, at least of this matter, won't change the outcome.

8.     I've said before that I believe Barack Obama despises the nation he was elected to lead.   Indeed, despise may be too soft a description of his feelings.    There were plenty of hints during his campaign:  his refusal to wear an American flag pin until it became an issue; the photo of his standing with hands at this side during the national anthem; Michelle Obama's remark about her husband's primary success being the first time she was proud of America.   Obama is truly sui generis in American history:  he is the first president in American history who loathes the society which elected him.    He and his administration are an alien presence in this country, not loyal or patriotic in any sense we understand the word but truly a Manchurian president, intent on the destruction of all things most Americans  value and hold dear.  

9.     What then, does this mean for the average American?   What is he to do about the national administration being in the control of a man who, in all important aspects. an enemy?     The patriot should arm himself with knowledge of the opinions of the Founding Fathers, who understood had to deal with a despot.   There example should guide us.

President Obama has nominated Federal appellate Judge Sonia Sotomayer to replace David Souter on the U.S. Supreme Court.   Apparently a Hispanic woman has more empathy than a white male when it comes to the U.S. Constitution.  At least Judge Sotomayor has said as much.   On the surface this is one liberal replacing another.   However, Sotomayor represents a leap forward in the substitution of race and gender for intellect and temperament.   Liberals see the judiciary as an another venue for seizing power and imposing their ideology.   Conservatives believe the courts should interpret the law and keep their individual biases out of it.    When liberals speak of empathy, they really mean judicial engineering of our society toward the socialist utopia.

 Frankly, we've reached the point now where the argument shouldn't be over individual nominees to the Supreme Court but over the whole concept of judicial review.    If experience has demonstrated one thing, it is the tendency of the judiciary to expand its power at the expense of the elected branches of government, and, as a consequence, for the ideologies of judges to displace the views of the people expressed through their elected representatives.    It seems that an independent judiciary which is not aggressively checked will invariably lead to tyranny by judges.   That's the debate we should be having.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs has warned crtics of Judge Sotomayor's nomination to be "careful" in their comments.   No doubt good advice.    Considering this administration's contempt for law it would not be surprising if some critics find unfriendly demonstrators in front of their homes or if their families are harassed.    This president and his accomplices, being true leftists, have no regard for the rights of opponents and desire nothing more than to silence them.    Mr. Obama is a liberal fascist; he represents the guttter in power.

North Korea has tested a nuclear bomb and mid-to-long range missiles.    Mr. Obama has called on the international community to act to pressure North Korea to abandon its nuclear program.    Of course, neither Obama or the international community will do anything.   George Bush should have solved this program during his second term but passed it along to Obama, who is remarkably unsuited by experience, temperment or ideology to deal with it.   As a consequence a murderous regime lead by a nutcase will have nuclear weapons and soon the ability to deliver them to the United States.

Speaking of crazies and nuclear bombs, it is clear that Obama is prepared to accept a nuclear armed Iran.   As bad as a nuclear armed North Korea is, a nuclear armed Iran is far, far worse.   The leader of Iran is more than a nutcase, he's a Islamic nutcase, which means he views death and even national extermination, so long as it is in the service of Allah, as the way to paradise.   Mahmoud Ahmadinejad intends to use his nuclear bomb, as soon as possible to ignite the return of the 12th inman, his apocalyptic vision of the future.  

And what of Isreal, our long time ally in the region?   It has become obvious that Obama has little love for the Jewish state and is determined to pressure it to accept a "peace" settlement with the Palestians and surrounding Arab states which will leave Isreal highly vulnerable to attack.   If Isreal desires to attack Iran, expect Obama to do everything he can to obstruct the attack and to leave Isreal to the consequences to follow.    Obama may not be a Muslim, but his policies in the Middle East certainly seem tailored to find favor with that group.

General Motors has filed for bankrupcty.   What emerges from the process will continue to bear the name but none of the cache or history of the great automotive company which not so long ago was synonymous with American industrial dominance.   First Chrysler and now GM have been raped by the Obama administration to repay the United Auto Workers for its support.   The owners and secured creditors of the company have had their investment and money stolen with the connivance of the United States Government.    The Federal judiciary, which has never been shy about overturning the will of the people in so many contexts,  it strangely constrained when it comes to protecting the contract and statutory rights of shareholders and bondholders.    From the beginning to the present, the Obama administration has behaved in a manner Mussolini or Hitler would have understood well.

Dr. George Tiller was an abortionist.  As a physician he murdered innocent children in the womb as a "service."   This murder is lawful in the United States because of a judicial abomination called Roe v. Wade, decided by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1973, and which the Court has stood by like a wayward child since.  While Tiller's actions was legal civilly, morally he was still a murderer.  

Another person took upon himself to kill Tiller.   Opposition to abortion seems to have been a motivating factor in the killing.   No one endorses murder as means to resolve disputes on moral or political manners.   Yet I find myself conflicted.  Tiler would certainly have continued his practice and killed more innocent babies in the womb.   The individual who killed him stopped that carnage.  We recognize as lawful the use of deadly force against a person who is an imminent threat to cause death or serious injury to others.    In Afghanistan and Pakistan, as a means of national defense, our nation uses missiles to kill terrorists who pose a danger to the life and health of Americans and our allies.   The terrorists are killed to protect the innocent because they have demonstrated their intent to murder innocents when and wherever they can.  Tiler murdered innocents and intended to continue to do so.  It is easy to condemn the actions of Tiller's killer as murder and pontificate about moral or political issues being resolved through the democratic process.  But if one believes that life begins at conception, what of the argument that Tiller's killer exercised legitimate defense of others?    The moral case is not so clear cut.  Perhaps an answer is that by killing Tiller the perpetrator denied Tiller a chance to repent.    It is something to ponder.
 

I marvel at the apparent indifference to the mass of the American people to the Obama administration's continuing subversion of the free market system and rule of law in this country.   I question  if there is any provocation that would lead the people to rise up and declare "No more."   Is our heritage and liberty of so little value to us that we will allow it to be emasculated without a fight?    It's maddening to me that a  majority seem so mesmerized by a talented demigod that they will acquience in policies that ensure there country is bankrupted and laid open to its enemies.   This is not the America I grew up in.

Mr. Obama is scheduled to give a speech to the Moslem world from Cairo, Eqypt on June 4th.   Since he has already prostrated himself before the Saudi king, made nice with Iran, and indicated a willingness to betray Israel, I don't know what he has left to say.    Lots of people think he's a closet Muslim, so maybe he will "come out of the closet."   His previous overseas junkets have been apology tours so I suppose he can apologize for all our imagined transgressions against the Arab peoples.   What is certain is that nothing he says will help our position in the Middle East and is more likely to damage it.    Obama oozes weakness when abroad and the Middle East is the last place that a leader or his nation needs to be perceived as weak.   It is an invitation to attack.

Mr. Obama spoke at Notre Dame university on the subject of abortion.    The thrust of his remarks is that we must learn to disagree, agreeably.    One doubts he would have said the same about  slavery, circa 1860.    Abortion is the murder of an innocent life for the convenience of the living.   No amount of presidential blathering alters this fundamental truth.   The Bible states that a man is known by his fruits.   Mr. Obama has stated that he is a Christian.    Mr. Obama has a record of supporting abortion on demand, free of the mildest restriction.    The reader can draw his own conclusion.

The homosexual movement has been on a role lately, with victories in favor of homosexual "marriage" in Iowa, Maine and, very soon, New Hampshire.    Once homosexual civil unions were accepted, the horse left the barn on homosexual "marriage."    What was considered a middle ground on the issue in fact constitutes a surrender of the high ground in the argument.    We seem to be moving inexorably to homosexual "marriage" prevailing throughout the nation.   Once that is the case, it follows quite naturally that people and institutions who don't accept the new order of things will suffer condemnation and legal consequences.   The homosexual marriage movement, like all modern leftist movements, is fundamentally totalitarian in nature, and will tolerate no opposing voices.

Mr. Obama never wastes the opportunity to condemn the Bush administration for tactics it used in defending the country after September 11, 2001.   Obama contends the tactics were inconsistent with our "values."   What values does he refer to?    A nation has interests, not values, and the preeminnet interest of a nation is survival.   The greatest obligation a government owes its citizens it to protect their lives and property from external threats.   In both respects then the Bush administration was successful.   One of my "values" (and one I suspect most share) is to escape murder by barbarians wtih a 7th century mindset.    The highest value is for the United States to emerge victorious in its conflict with radical Islamists; hamstringing our efforts with pseudo moralizing from Mr. Obama can be dispensed with.

Comparing Dick Cheney to Barack Obama reminds me of what always happens when an experienced baseball pitcher faces a wet-behind-the-ears rookie batter who thinks he a hotshot.   The rookie is going to be schooled everytime.

One thing that's obvious about Obama is his inablity to handle criticism - an odd defect in a politician.   It is, however, perfectly consistent with a tyrant.    The tyrant feeds like a parasite on the public's adulation; criticism deny the tyrant sustanence and causes him to lash out at the critics.   Sooner or later Obama will be unable to control  himself and the mask will come off, exposing for all to see the very unattractive core of his personality.

One thing that I cannot understand about the Chrsyler and GM situations is why the bondholders of these companies have not sued to protect their interests, or why there clients haven't sued them for breaching their fiduciary duty to protect the investment.   You can't look sideways in this country without being sued but for some reason but, though billions of dollars are at stake, nobody has come forward to litigate what is an clear and obvious violation of the bondholders rights.   Has the Gestapo visited them after dark?   Have they been threatened with the concentration camp?   People don't just walk away from billions.    There has to be something ugly and lawless going on behind the scenes that we'll learn about one day.

The utltimate issue regarding health care is whether the individual wants to be able to receive all the care he can pay or insure himself for, or let the government decide when he should die.   It really boils down to that.    For the elderly, socialized health care will be a death warrant, since socialized health care means rationed health care, and rationed health care means restricting it to patients of an age and condition to make it cost effective.  Socialized health care reduces the individual's life to strictly running the numbers - eventually yours will be up.

Mr. Obama has demonstrated in his foreign policy the tendency to belittle our allies and embrace our enemies.   I'm certain the leaders of Israel have noticed and will act accordingly with respect to the Iranian nuclear program.    It is a matter of when not if that Israel will attack Iran.   It will be the opening salvo of a reckoning in the Middle East that will shake the world.

1.    Miss California denied the Miss USA crown because she espoused the traditional view of marriage as between a man and a woman. 

    Apparently the acceptable default position in our society is that marriage should be any combination of the sexes.   This constitutes a rejection of over 5000 years of human history and the tenets of every major religion.  History has proven that tolerance of open homosexuality so corrupts and diminishes a society that it collapses from within.   Abandoning age old traditions and limitations will have negative consequences, both foreseeable and not.   The effect on the bedrock unit of society is the family.  The family will not survive the redefinition of marriage.   The effect on children will be catastrophic.     

2.     The spirit of Nazism lives in the soul of the Homosexual lobby.

    The triumph of homosexuals in the marriage debate won’t stop there.  As demonstrated by the outrageous attacks made against  Miss California and the supporters of the successful Proposition 8 in California, with goal of homosexuals is to stamp out any public opposition to there conduct.   Homosexuals intend nothing less than to criminalize any opposition to homosexual conduct and silence critics.   Hence the damage to the heretofore constitutionally protect freedom of speech, religion, and association will be sacrificed on the altar of political correctness.   Homosexuals serve as the advance scouts of the Marxist-leftist cabal now in the saddle in Washington and many state capitals, in whom dwells the totalitarian impulse now merely to govern but to reign without the impediments of opposition.

3.       Obama   ponders the transformation of America into a banana republic by criminalizing policy differences with ideological opponents.

    The desire of the Marxist-leftists to punish George Bush and the members of his administration is well known.  The authorization of enhanced interrogation techniques,  which has been branded as “torture,” is merely a means to this end.   The left could care less about the individuals subjected to the techniques; the entire purpose is to get Bush and his administration.  

    Obama, being a member in good standing of the Marxist left, is torn between his heart’s desire to assist his fellow travelers and promote show trials of Bush and his deputies, and his political sense that doing so would derail his agenda of radically changing America.   Trying former heads of state for political differences is typical of banana republics.   It is something we have never considered in the United States.  For one thing, simply from the self preservation instinct, most administrations realize that breaking this taboo ensures that when opponents regain power, as they will inevitably do in a republic, then they will be the ones on trial.   Moreover, the bitterness and rage such a course of action will create in the opposition saps the health and vitality of a democracy and will eventually lead to civil unrest and violence, just as in a banana republic.  

    Finally, I, and I suspect a majority of the American public, don’t lose any sleep over subjecting barbarians, who desire to murder us in our beds, to rough treatment to obtain information about their organizations and plans.   It amazes me that leftists are outraged by any tactic, including harsh language, which might cause a terrorist discomfort, but perfectly content that innocent babies are slaughtered in the womb.


4.      The EPA and Congress plot the destruction of the American economy via regulation of CO2.  

          Categorizing CO2 as a pollutant which must be regulated is the most far reaching declaration the EPA has ever made.  It literally gives government the power to tax the air you exhale.  

           That this is insane is beside the point.   The costs to business and the individual taxpayer will be in the trillions.  The loss jobs and industry to other countries will be staggering.   The improvement to our environment will be nil.   China, India and other developing nations are not about to hamstring their economies with this sort of environmental regulation, and will be only too glad to host the new industries which will be moved there from America.   Consequently, we will wreck the American economy and reduce the standard of living for tens of millions of Americans to solve something which we can't solve and really is not a problem anyway.


5.      Obama genuflects to foreign dictators.

         There are few thugs left that our peerless leader has not apologized to.    I guess he's practicing his routine for the presidents of Iran and North Korea.     It is a historic tragedy that at such a critical moment in history the United States elected as its president a man so sadly lacking in appreciation of the nation's positive contributions to history and of its unique status in today's world.   Obama despises the country he was elected to lead, which, more than anything else,  predicts the sort of change he wants to bring to the United States.   Obama wants a country which you and I will not recognize or desire to live in.


Only two weeks to the US premier of the new Star Trek movie.   Every review I've read says it's great!   Can't wait to see it.
