How deliciously rich, how wonderfully appropriate that Barack Obama selected Joe Biden as his running mate. The liberal messiah, easily the most egocentric candidate of modern times, chooses the most pompous windbag in the United States Senate, perhaps the only senator equally in love with the sound of his own voice. Folks, it doesn't get better than this.
I'm beginning to believe that John McCain is the luckiest politician in America. First the Russians invade Georgia, serving to remind the American people that perhaps having an adult in the White House might not be such a bad idea after all. Then Obama bombs at the Saddleback Church forum, revealing himself more the second coming of Mike Dukakis than savior of the Democrat party. Now Barry picks Biden, a gaffe prone egomaniac whose snob quotient rivals Barry's. My friends, if McCain can't beat these two idiots then there is indeed something very, very rotten in America.
I think that the Democrats have drank so much of their own kool-aid that they are beginning to believe their own propaganda. Only an overweaning confidence in victory, a believe that the American electorate loathes the Republicans and George W. Bush as much as they do, can explain their willingness to nominate the most leftist ticket ever put forth by a major American political party. A ticket headed by the most inexperienced, callow nominee for president since the 19th century. Seriously, would you hire someone with Obama's resume to run your company? Would you trust someone with NO experience in managing a private business to administer the government of the United States and be commander in chielf of the armed forces? Of course not! It is a measure of the Democrats' contempt for the common sense of the voter that they believe Obama and Biden can be sold to the American people. Want a vision guaranteed to cause nightmares: imagine Obama sitting down to negotiate opposite Vladimir Putin. Who would you put your money on? Or imagine Barry in the roon with the nut case running Iran. Then again don't; it's too painful to consider. We live in a world gone made when the world oldest political party gives us Barry Obama as its standard bearer. Obama isn't qualified to manage the local J-Mart; president of the United States? Give me a break.
Say what we will about John McCain (and there's plenty to complain about), at least I'm confident he can do the job. He might not do it in a manner entirely pleasing to we conservatives, but he doesn't admire his image in the mirror every morning and go orgasmic at the sound of his own voice. McCain is an adult and with the Democrats likely to remain in control of Congress, an adult will be sorely needed to prevent the juveniles from wrecking the place.
Times are too perilous and the challenges facing the country too many and grave to trust our security to men like Obama and Biden. Together with a Democrat Congress, I shudder at the damage that can be done to our nation. Indeed, the very fabric of our nationhood might be torn asunder by the plans these elitist snobs have for us. Arrogant idiots, blind to the realities of the world and determined to impose leftist economic, social and security policies without regard to the evidence that the policies do not and have never worked, are an indulgence we cannot afford. Electing ObamaBiden is the electorial equivalent of playing Russian roulette with five bullets and only one empty chamber. The odds at a successful outcome are poor.
