It is not an original thought to perceive that modern liberalism is the substitute religion for its loyalists. And like many faux religions, it has conjured its own unholy trinity. The trinity of the liberal religion: Multiculturalism, Diversity, and Political correctness. The indictment of Western civilization and values as the source of evil in the modern world springs directly from the belief that no civilization is superior to another. Hence, diversity must be mandatory, as the historically male and white institutions of the West must be cleansed and purified by the introduction of both sexes and persons of color. Multiculturalism and Diversity are enforced by Political correctness, which intimidates and criminalizes opponents and works to delegitimize opposing views. It should be apparent that the animating ideas of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are fundamentally at odds with the liberal religion.
The similarities between the liberal religion and the Muslim jihadists are striking. First, both love death. What is
the seminal sacrament of contemporary liberalism? Abortion, the murder of the innocent. What is the principal
belief of the jihadist? It is the murder of the innocent, whom they call infidels. Second, liberals and jihadists have no tolerance for opposition. Liberals label opponents as racist, sexist, bigots, homophobes. Liberals slander their opponents' reputation, attack their livelihood, intimidate their associates, and slander their families, all of which leaves the victim "dead" in the eyes of "respectable" society and opinion. Jihadists skip the personal destruction and just literally kill their opponents. Third, both seek heaven on earth. Liberals believe heaven can be constructed on earth if only liberals have total power to organize society. Tens of millions of people have died in the Soviet Union and Red China to demonstrate the fallacy of this idea, yet against all evidence and experience liberals continue to believe it can be done. The Jihadist believes that if only he can kill enough infidels the survivors will embrace the religion of peace, Islam. In both cases, the death of millions is not only excused but a positive good, as sins of man will be purged by oceans of blood. Whereas in Christianity the blood of one man works to redeem the lost in sin, liberals and Jihadist tolerate and demand the death of millions to enslave the sinner.
I'm sure others can itemized additional similarities. Both are totalitarian in outlook and outcome; both worship a false god; both have created a false heaven; both despise liberty and the world's greatest example of liberty, the
United States. We know that the logic of liberalism ends in tyranny; we also know that the the means liberalism employs on the road to tyranny results in death. Political correctness strips the society of the ability to recognize and defend itself against evil. It induces paralysis in public and private institutions, training the individual that inaction and silence are superior to vigilance, as vigilance leads to the vigilant being traduced, marginalized and demeaned. In the world of political correctness, when a perpetrator is a protected minority, he always has an excuse and the victim(s), especially when not members of favored group, always had it coming.
The liberal religion leads to a society afraid to call anyone an enemy, fearful of legitimate self-defense, terrified of being labeled intolerant, and frantic to concoct every more ludicrous excuses and explanations for true enemies. In the liberal religion, conservatives who oppose socialized health care are true Satans; jihadists who murder American soldiers and civilians act from legitimate grievances and must be understood and placated.
Friends, with both liberals and jihadists we deal not with rational people open to facts or argument, but fanatics dedicated to bringing about their version of heaven on earth, who have no compunction about the means to accomplish the goal.
